HANOVER TOWNSHIP, LEHIGH COUNTY
SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING

January 11, 2010
7:00 P.M.

Present: ---- Councilwoman Hayden; Councilman Atkinson; Dreisbach, Kovacs, Paulus; Sandra A. Pudliner;

It should be noted for the record that Councilwoman Hayden attended the meeting via telephone conference as a result of a disability, which does not permit her attendance in person.

Absent: ----------J. Jackson Eaton III Esq.; Frederick W. Hay, P.E.

The Township Manager advised the Board that there is currently no Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Hanover Township Council for the year 2010. In that regard, Councilman Kovacs nominated Bruce Paulus for the office of Chairman of the Hanover Township Council for the year 2010. His motion was seconded by Councilman Dreisbach. At this point in the meeting, the following motion was made:

Motion: I move we close the nominations for the position of Chairman of the Hanover Township Council for the year 2010.

Atkinson, Dreisbach, Hayden, Kovacs, Paulus: ------- Aye ------- Unan.

With respect to the election of Vice Chairman of the Hanover Township Council for the year 2010, Councilman Atkinson nominated Frank Dreisbach. His nomination was seconded by Councilman Paulus. With respect to this matter, the following motion was made:

Motion: I move we close the nominations for the position of Vice Chairman of the Hanover Township Council for the year 2010.

At this point in the meeting, Council proceeded to address the items listed under New Business

Motion: I move that Resolution No. 2010-1 Providing for the Election of Bruce E. Paulus as Chairman of the Hanover Township Council be adopted as presented.
