For parks reservation, we will give 72 hours from the time of application submittal to remit your fee, security payments & confirm your reservation.
If you do not confirm your reservation, pay the fee, security payments & confirm the reservation within 72 hours, the date you reserve will become
immediatly available and may be reserved by anyone who submits the forms, money & confirms the reservation needed to reserve the park.

The Hanover Township Park System of approximately 10 acres includes three recreational areas. Sherwood Park (LINK to Slideshow created 10/02/11) located at the end of Sherwood Street (1915 Sherwood Street, Allentown, PA) includes 1 baseball/softball field, one volleyball court, two tennis courts, two basketball courts, a tot's playground, and a recently enlarged pavilion area. New recreation equipment has been installed in the park and maintenance work in the park to address public safety issues has also been completed.

The Township's Canal Park System (LINK to Slideshow created 10/02/11) is located at 1960 Dauphin Street, Allentown, PA. This park provides the means for passive recreation in our community including a towpath and four gazebos, as well as, a 45' by 72' pavilion to accommodate large group functions. A Veteran's Memorial honoring all branches of the Armed Forces is also located in the Park. The Township has acquired all of the Catasauqua Lake property located adjacent to the Township Park, as an addition to our Canal Park System. Improvements to the new park area have been undertaken. This park area includes the lake area, the existing parking lot, a storage facility on the property, as well as, the additional open area associated with the County Park System. Reservation of the pavilion areas in Chestnut Grove Park and Sherwood Park for picnics, etc., is free for Township Residents, with a $100.00 refundable Security Deposit. For non-residents, there is a fee of $100.00, plus a $100.00 refundable security deposit. The seasonal fee for usage of Sherwood Park ball field is $25.00 plus a $50.00 refundable Security Deposit. Little League ballfield reservation is free, with a $50.00 refundable security deposit. Reservation of Canal Park is free for township residents, with a $250.00 refundable security deposit. Non-resident fee for Canal Park is $250.00 plus a $250.00 refundable security deposit.
