Code Enforcement

Hanover Township's Code Enforcement program consists of two primary areas of compliance; building code and general Township code.

The Township has adopted the Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code as amended by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The Township has also adopted the International Property Maintenance Code. These codes are enforced by the Township’s third party building inspection agency, Base Engineering.

General Township Ordinance enforcement is handled by the Township’s three part time code enforcement officers. Our officers handle code violations for issues such as parking, vegetation and signage among other things.
