Public Works - About Us

The Hanover Township, Lehigh County Public Works Department consists of (5) five employees and up to (3) three seasonal employees. These employees are responsible for various duties throughout the year, which include the following:

• Public Water System - Operations and Maintenance
• Sanitary Sewer System - Operations and Maintenance
• Street and Road Maintenance
• Winter Maintenance - Township Roads (PennDOT Handles All State Roads)
• Storm Water System Maintenance
• Traffic Signals and Street Light Maintenance
• Maintenance of Township Parks
• Maintenance of Township Owned Buildings
• Maintenance of Township Owned Vehicles and Equipment
• Bicycle and Pedestrian Planning
• Capital Project Planning with Township Engineer

Township personnel are on call 24 hours a day/7 days a week, 365 days a year. Any issues that might arise during normal hours or after hours, the public is encouraged to call for service.
